Privacy Policy

Dear Universe is a journaling and manifestation app. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.

Data we collect

• Account information, such as your email address, when you create an account.
• Profile preferences, such as your manifestation focus, journaling style, reminder time, and main desire.
• Journal content you choose to save, including journal entries, evidence entries, method entries, moods, prompts, and summaries.
• Subscription status from RevenueCat and Apple, such as whether Premium is active.
• Basic technical data needed to run the app, authenticate you, sync your data, process purchases, and prevent abuse.

How we use data

We use your data to:

• Create and secure your account.
• Save and sync your journal across devices.
• Personalize prompts, reflections, summaries, affirmations, and app settings.
• Process and restore subscriptions.
• Provide support and troubleshoot app issues.

AI features

When you use AI-powered prompts, journal reflections, or weekly summaries, relevant profile and journal context may be sent to our backend and then to OpenAI to generate the requested response. OpenAI API keys are stored server-side and are not included in the mobile app.

Third-party services

Dear Universe uses:

• Supabase for authentication, database, synced journal storage, and backend functions.
• OpenAI for AI-generated prompts, reflections, and summaries.
• RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management.
• Apple App Store for in-app purchases and subscription billing.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared with service providers only as needed to operate the app, sync data, provide AI features, process subscriptions, and support users.

Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app from Settings. Deleting your account deletes your synced Dear Universe account data. App Store subscriptions are managed by Apple and must be cancelled separately through your Apple account subscription settings.

Data export

You can export your journal data from Settings.
